National Relaxation Day
With everything from bushfires to global pandemics to the hundreds of thousands of people across the globe suddenly losing their jobs, this year has been a stressful one. So, we think it’s more important than ever to take National Relaxation Day 2020 to relax, recover and rejuvenate.
For us? Relaxing looks like doing a whole lot of nothing. It means driving the kids to the grandparents’ for the day, driving right back home and locking the front door to the outside world.
This year, we thought we’d share what we think the ideal day of relaxation looks like. Maybe you can take a leaf out of our book and take some time for you this year, too.
To start the day off, we suggest a nice, solo cup of coffee at your favourite cafe (or, if you’re still in isolation, a cuppa joe delivered to your door - we’re talking UberEats, Deliveroo, or anything that means you don’t have to make it). Switch your phone off and take the time to truly enjoy your coffee.
Then? We think you should be hitting the couch. Hard. Your phone is still off (or at least on silent) and you finally pick up that book you’ve been thinking about reading all year and haven’t quite gotten around to yet. Believe us, there’s isn’t much more relaxing than a good book and a cuppa tea.
Later in the day, we recommend a nice, warm, candlelit bath. Maybe you’ve still got your book (and you just can’t put it down), or maybe you’re starting that TV show you’ve been putting off. Either way, it could be accompanied with another cup of tea or a nice glass of wine.
Then, before you go pick up the kids and get back to your everyday life, we suggest adding the final piece to the relaxation puzzle with our Marine Magnesium Oil Spray. This will ensure the state of deep relaxation lasts, as it improves sleep, boosts your energy levels and helps combat any of those pesky muscle pains.
Take the time for yourself this August 15 to switch off, relax and practice some gentle self care.
